**Statement from Walsall Trades Union Council**
Walsall Trades Union Council unequivocally condemns the racially aggravated attack and stands in solidarity with our Sikh community and all those directly affected.
There is no place in our communities for hatred, discrimination, racism, Islamophobia, #antisemitism, or any form of prejudice directed at people because of their faith, ethnicity, nationality, identity, or background. Such actions seek to divide communities, spread fear, and undermine the values of dignity, equality, and respect that trade unions have always championed.
We recognise the distress and hurt caused by this incident and extend our support to those directly impacted. At times like these, it is important that we come together in #unity and demonstrate that hate will not define our communities.
Walsall Trades Union Council remains committed to promoting solidarity, challenging all forms of discrimination, and working alongside community groups, faith organisations, and local partners to build a society based on mutual respect, understanding, and justice.
An injury to one is an injury to all.
